I had sent my poster design for ‘Lingering Memories’ to Steven, a friend in Belfast, to pick up the posters and enjoy another journey on the train. We got talking and he mentioned that he was visiting a gallery that day. Then I remembered that he had studied at the art college in Belfast and still was involved in photographing exhibits there for the students. He told me that he also did photography for some galleries too. So, I have a connection to the local art world!
On the train home I remembered something else. My photography club (BPIC) in Belfast meets on Thursday nights. Some nights there wasn’t much on at the club. Then I discovered there was a late night, once a month, at the art galleries and I started going there. It stopped with Covid, of course. Is it operating again?
