Well, I think this book is one I will read and think about for quite a while! He creates imaginative actions which have thought-provoking and enigmatic interpretations. A lot have to do with massive amounts of work with little end product. More later.

It arrived today, recommended by Caroline. This is an interesting book which shows many interesting ways of displaying collections of objects. Maybe it will give me an idea for my ‘Pandora’s Box’ of artifacts from the 70s.

More reading for the New Year! Keri Smith’s ‘Everything is Connected’ is a book of postcards (!) with suggestions or inspirations for practical art if you run out of ideas. Perec’s books are ‘Life, a user’s manual’ and ‘I remember’.

I thought I’d make a start on this idea, so I made (in Photoshop) a few backgrounds. Then made a distressed edge Did this with a couple of my thesis pages These are incomplete, but something to ponder and try again. I think I need more colour, they are a bit bland.
