Father Time

I like to think I’m a smart cookie, but sometimes ….

After the student presentations last night I was thinking about the possible themes I’ll be working on.

All of them had some sort of relationship with time, and I’d said already that I’d been fascinated with the concepts of time from my early 20s. Last night it struck me; my father had worked from his days as an apprentice with IBM before WWII until he caught TB in the early 60s with cash registers and time clocks. He also repaired clocks for family and friends, so there were always bits of clocks lying around at home.

Could be the reason for my fascination? Also, mechanical wristwatches never work on me. In my 20s I always carried a pocket watch …
